Location: Homebased, occasional travel to HQ office and around England

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract / Full Time (37.5hrs)

Are you passionate about motivating businesses to be greener and supporting staff to be active?

Cycling UK, the national cycling charity, is on a mission to inspire a million more people onto their bikes. We’re not about winning medals, but about helping people who will benefit from cycling the most, such as providing bikes to those experiencing transport poverty, or helping people improve their health by commuting by bike.

We run a range of projects that support cycling, including Bike Week, the annual Women’s Festival of Cycling and inspire around 60,000 people every year to overcome the barriers stopping them cycling through our Big Bike Revival programme. We’re also making cycling safer through our campaigning work, lobbying Government to spend more money on infrastructure and educating drivers on sharing the roads safely.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Workplaces Engagement Officer, to support the delivery of our Big Bike Revival for businesses, helping develop our new workplaces strategy that will empower businesses across the UK to be more cycle friendly. You will coordinate the delivery of the workplace engagement element of Big Bike Revival, linking in with stakeholders, colleagues, partners, and communities, building relationships with organisation across England to help them become more cycle friendly. With a sound understanding of marketing tools, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your skills, including writing newsletters, developing digital content, and creating printed materials, as well as project managing events and networking opportunities.

If you’re excited by the prospect of inspiring the UK’s workforce about the amazing benefits of cycling, we want to hear from you.

To be successful you’ll need:

  • Experience of project planning, delivery, and tracking
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation of projects
  • Excellent marketing and communication skills, presentation and copy writing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills
  • Ability to take ownership and be proactive with identifying and solving problems.
  • Ability to innovate and generate creative solutions to practical challenges
